I love doing crafts with my little boy. He's at such a fun age and really enjoys doing just about anything. When I went to Paper Source to find a Halloween crafts I probably stared at ten different ones before I made a decision. I wanted something he would really enjoy but I also wanted something he could help build or decorate. These Haunted House Treat Boxes were perfect!
I told Andy after his nap he could help me make Halloween treat boxes and he couldn't stop talking about it. He didn't even take a nap if that tells you how excited he was to this cute little project. Before he woke up I made sure to have all the pieces punched out and double sided tape ready to go.
The first thing we did was fold along the edges and then we applied double sided tape to the flaps. The instructions say to decorate them before you assemble the house but I decided he would enjoy decorating them after they were built.
We left the roof off so they could be filled with candy and my camera died right at that moment and I couldn't stop him in time to get a few pictures. I was really sad because that was probably one of his favorite things.
Next..I bought some stickers from Target because I know how much Andy loves stickers and he went to town decorating.
As you can tell he absolutely loved constructing and decorating these Haunted House Treat Boxes. It was so much fun to share these moments with him. We don't get much one of one time and it truly is so enjoyable.
What Halloween crafts will you be doing this weekend with your little ones?
(I apologize for the quality of the photos, I'm still learning.)
