Setting tables with holiday china is definitely at the top of my list when it comes to favorite things to do. I could literally play with a table setting for hours. A pretty table is refreshing and makes a home so beautiful, in my eyes. When it comes to decorating for the holidays I used to keep my dining room table set but I recently transformed my dining room into an office. I set my breakfast table with all of my holiday china from Williams-Sonoma and definitely didn't want to take it off. It was so pretty and I was excited to share it with you in this blog post.
This 12 days of Christmas china was given to me a few years ago and I've slowly accumulated all the pieces along with the apron and dish towels. It's so cute to see Andy recognize the symbols from the song. I'm sure they will be a bigger hit next year when he can recognize them all!
I think setting the table is such a personal preference and can be done in so many different ways. I actually mixed my Waterford wine glasses and love the way it turned out. It doesn't always have to match, keep that in mind. I love the look of all the different salad plates! One of my favorite things to do is add a piece of nature to the table. In my Thanksgiving table setting I added fresh rosemary and pumpkins. In this setting I added fresh garland and pine cones. The natural look is definitely always appealing to me. Also, napkin placement can be done in many different ways. Will you use napkin rings or will you place it under the plate? Like I said, so many options. My advice is just to pull everything out and play with it. Candles always give a little touch of romanticism.
I hope you have fun setting the table this Holiday season and if it doesn't work out just grab a glass of champagne and throw your hands in the air. I promise everybody will understand!
