The day has finally come. Introducing my new blog, Simply Ollie. The concept was born out of my passion for fancy finds, good deals, must-have looks and home DIY projects. Through Simply Ollie, I will share my style finds, inspirations and DIY home decor tricks along the way (Did I mention I can paint an entire living room in a few hours? Yep. I've done it).
Launching this site is nothing short of exciting for me. I'm feeling accomplished, excited and in fact, a bit smitten. Lets just say I have butterflies in my tummy as I sit in my brand new Lucite chair and type this post.
Those of you with small children can probably understand the difficulty of finding time for yourself. This is me! I have two kids, Andy and Olivia, a husband and a dog. I am thrilled to be finding time for myself, and doing something I love. I hope you love what you see and follow along.
I chose this midi dress by Corey Lynn Calter from Anthropologie to show you how to take a dress from a daytime stroll around an art museum to a night out for cocktails. The asymmetrical hem gives this dress a feminine touch. I paired a classic denim jacket and white Converse to give this dress a casual look. I am quick to pair converse with just about anything.
In the second look, I ditch the Converse and denim and add fun heels with a bold red lip. This look would be great for a dinner date or night out with the girls. Red lipstick and red heels adds a little bit of "sexy" to this fit and flare silhouette dress.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Drop me a line anytime at email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
