Gingham has been all over the runway. Vogue has called it "the romantic, warm-weather cousin of plaid." I am excited about the opportunity to wear gingham through the summer. I know I spent most of the winter sporting plaid or gingham under all my sweaters. Mixing patterns is so fun, not only in your wardrobe, but also in your home. My favorite thing to add to a black and white gingham print is a POP of color. In my look, I mixed prints and added color with comfy pink sandals and a hot pink lip color. Don't be afraid to wear a bright lip color! I always love how it transforms my look instantly. I am also a fan of tying my tops with a pair of high waisted pants. I wouldn't consider these extremely high waisted but they are higher than most of my pants. It helps to give your outfit more shape.
I plan to wear this look all summer. I would also pair this top with a fit and flare skirt or denim shorts and my converse. I hope you will run to your closet and starting mixing prints!
