Step 1: Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel
Step 2: SkinMedica Retinol Complex 0.5
Step 3: Garnier Eye Cream
Step 4: Skinceuticals Resveratrol
Step 5: SkinMedica Lytera
Step 6: Honest Hazel Eye Gels
My night routine is important to me and something I make sure gets done even if I'm exhausted. I start off with cleansing my face with the Garnier cleanser, most of the time when I'm in the shower. As soon as I finish I apply the SkinMedica Retinol 0.5 cream. I usually give it about 10 minutes to soak into my skin before I move to the next step. I know this seems like a long time but normally I can brush my teeth and pick up around the house and that time is over very quickly. I then apply the Garnier eye cream and I apply it all the way around my eye, even the lids. This is one of many eye creams that doesn't burn my eyes. I recently started using the Skinceuticals Resveratrol after attending a Skinceuticals event. I'm still deciding how I feel about it but so far I'm loving the results. It works as a moisturizing night repair. It's just what my skin needed. I use SkinMedica Lytera in the morning and at a night. It helps with skin discoloration and dark spots. I love how it brightens my skin. I don't use the Honest Hazel gels every night but like to use them every three days to give my eyes a little extra moisture. I LOVE them! If you stick them in the refrigerator for ten minutes they give your eyes the perfect touch of coolness.
Step 1: Splash face off with water and pat dry.
Step 2: Skinceuticals CE Ferulic
Step 3: Skinceuticals Phloretin CF
Step 4: Skinceuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector
Step 5: SkinMedica Lytera
Step 6: Skinceuticals Physical Matte UV Defense
Basically, like I said above I known it seems like a lot but it's just like any other routine. Once you do it for a few days you realize it pays off. I don't cleanse in the morning I just splash my face with cool water and pat it dry. That cool water wakes up my eyes and rinses my skin from excess oils. The first thing I do is apply the CE Ferulic which is what Skinceuticals recommended for my skin. I recently got pretty serious about my skincare routine. After two kids and approaching thirty quickly I decided I needed to get on top of a healthy routine. The CE Ferulic is a daytime antioxidant and everybody should be using an antioxidant in the morning. I learned that this antioxidant does not rinse off. It will sink into your skin and only needs to be applied once a day. That means if you work out and shower two hours after applying the serum it will still be on your skin. No need to reapply. Amazing! After that I apply the Phloretin CF which isn't necessary but I started using it and don't really care to stop. Basically it's another daytime antioxidant. It does help with skin discoloration which I like to use in the summer. Following my serums I recently got a sample of Skinceuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector. I can't give my full assessment just yet but so far, so good. It will help with skin discoloration. I mentioned that above but again I get a lot of sun being outside with my kids and being a teacher. We normally spend 30-45 minutes on the playground daily. That's a lot of sun exposure. I also apply the SkinMedica Lytera which is a brightening cream and gives me a slight glow, at least that's what I think. Speaking of sun exposure SUNSCREEN is the last product I apply and one that I NEVER forget. It's so important to wear sunscreen everyday. I know your makeup might have sunscreen in it but it's still necessary to apply a sunscreen before applying your makeup. This will keep the wrinkles away! I have loved all the Skinceuticals sunscreens but during the summer the matte has been amazing.
