I had the best opportunity collaborating with Hunter Bell and some fabulous Houston bloggers: Caroline Harper Knapp of House of Harper, Lyndsey Zorich of L.Avenue, Carrie Colbert of Wear+Where+Well, Lauren Mills of Sunday Beach, Valerie Dittner of Adorn Yourself Accordingly, Destiny Thompson of Truly Destiny, Sally Ann and Molly Bernadette of A Piece of Toast and Ashley Rose of Sugar and Cloth.

Over the past few months I've had the pleasure of getting to know the designer, Hunter Bell.  She recently moved to Houston with her husband and precious baby. It's been great getting to know Hunter and her designs.  When I visited New York for Fashion Week I stopped by her studio to see where all the hard work takes place.  It was awesome! I was amazed by the talent I saw all over the walls and the designs that will shortly be released.  It's always nice to meet designers as successful as Hunter.  She's so down to earth and sweet. I was honored she asked me to be a part of this collaboration.

Let's talk about designs that Hunter produces.  I'm wearing these light weight wide leg pants from the Resort line. This retro print is one of my favorites.  I literally want to frame this abstract print and hang it in my office. No joke! When I realized wide leg pants were back in style I definitely questioned if I could pull them off.  When I picked them out in New York I had to double check with Hunter that it was "legal" for short girls to wear these pants.  She laughed but I know all you petite ladies are asking that same question.  YES! Petite ladies can pull of wide leg pants you just have to know what to wear on top.  I find that it looks better if you pick a top that is more fitted.  I don't always love to have my arms hanging out so I draped a leather jacket over my shoulders.  This also gives it a little edge. I've also paired them with a casual tank top to dress down the look.  My next look with these will include a blazer.  I think an orange or black blazer will look amazing with these pants and give a super sophisticated look.
