Happy Friday friends! I'm home alone and loving it! My mother-in-law picked up the kids on Wednesday and headed out to the lake for this holiday weekend. It has been heaven the past few days. It's not often I get to be at my own house without my kids for a few days straight. Yes, of course I miss them but it was a good "refresh" before Summer actually begins. I've been able to get so much done and work on my own time. I'm running behind on this post as I'm trying to get packed to head out for the weekend as well. What are your plans for this Memorial weekend? Don't forget your red, white and blue!
I love pairing a blazer with shorts in the Summer to get an ultra chic look. I like to wear shorts if we go out at night because it's normally so hot here in Texas. The great thing about adding a blazer is I don't feel so "naked" and I look so much more put together. I picked out this Trina Turk blazer at the event I held there a few weeks ago. It fit so perfectly and was great for my petite body. I still love long blazers but I like to have a good selection when it comes to cropped as well.
Are you pulling on the bandana trend? It's been one of my favs for a few months now and I pretty much have every color. It's the cheapest way to add a statement to your outfit. I also love wearing them in my hair during the summer with a cute bow at the top. It reminds me of the days way back when. It's also gives an outfit a vintage touch in my opinion and we all know I'm obsessed with anything vintage. There are really so many possibilities. I've also seen them wrapped around your arm like a bracelet and it's super cute. You can obviously use a fabulous Hermes scarf but for me just a bandana does the trick!
