You guys I've literally tried getting this blog post out to you since Friday! I brought my laptop to my sister's house and for some reason the wifi wouldn't work and I got so frustrated I gave up, YEP I gave up and put my computer away. The second time I tried to sit down was Sunday night after I cleaned my house all day for an Open House and all I could think about was watching the Olympics. That's a whole different story we can talk about too! This morning I woke up for the first day back to work for Teacher Inservice and sat down at the computer at about 6:20 but didn't have enough time to finish. As you can tell the past few days have been busy and man, I'm tired! I would love for you to send any potty training tips my way, my almost 3 year old GIRL will NOT poo poo on the potty. I don't understand! Andy just got it and I never experienced this type of struggle. She just doesn't get it! I hope you will leave me some tips because I'm ready to pull out my hair.
Are you watching the Olympics? I'm officially addicted and hopefully you caught this cute snap of my little ones supporting Team USA! I wanted to stay up later last night to catch all of the Women's Gymnastics but my eyes just wouldn't allow me to do that. It's absolutely amazing how great those girls are at gymnastics. It just blows my mind! I'm obviously supporting all of them but especially the Houston native, Simone Biles.
This shoot was actually fun, hot and interesting. I had this idea of wanting to be on the pink flamingo float, in the water and fully dressed. We weren't smart enough to shoot it last because if it didn't work out I was definitely going in the water and the shoot would be OVER! Thankfully it turned out and Krista (photographer) didn't let me fall in the water. The reason I wanted to be in the water was because this outfit just screams Summer to me and being in the pool was the perfect setting.
I scored this vintage floral vest (actually a dress) on the Depop app and fell in love with the colors and design. It's very bright and can be worn in so many different ways. Since it's a little long I decided not to wear it as a dress and opt for the vest by leaving the buttons open. It also looks really cute with a white dress. It's such a good accessory to have throughout the Summer and so easy to throw on with a simple pair of jeans.
These orange pants from Trina Turk are amazing you guys! The fit so well! I would say you might want to size down but other than that they are great. The slit at the bottom gives them an extra special touch and shows some leg. Since I'm on the shorter side it helps give me some length especially with heels. They are also currently on sale!
