Can you believe 2015 has come and gone? I know I say that every year but I just feel like the years are flying by these days. What will you be doing when the clock strikes midnight? It’s funny because NYE has always been pretty low key for my husband and I and this year won’t be very different. I’ll share our plans in detail later this week.
I had a blast shooting for New Years Eve. It was so joyful and the outfits were of course amazing! Since this is my first year shooting holiday looks for my blog it’s definitely been a learning process. I never realized how early I should be shooting looks or the fact that I probably should have been shooting all my Christmas looks at the beginning of November and not in December. Again, I’m still learning and definitely don’t know it all by any means but I am trying. I’ll give myself a high five for trying, that’s okay right?
I love this Shoshanna romper from Monkee’s Houston because it’s comfortable but so fabulous at the same time. The open back detail gives off a sexy vibe while the front is all party and glitzy. The open back is tied with a cute black bow that adds a feminine flirty touch. It might actually be cold on New Years Eve if you can believe it since we did have summer weather for Christmas it’s a bit shocking. The tights should keep you warm and of course I had to pair Christian Louboutin black pumps to add that touch of red to the outfit. I went with red this year but pink touches would be amazing as well. It was a big toss up but red won the final vote. Maybe I will end 2016 with Rose Quartz since Pantone has named it the color of the year.
