It's Friday! It was short week for me at work and it's exactly what I needed after returning from New York Fashion Week. When your a Mom you always need a little break away from the kids but when you get home you better be ready to hit the ground running. They definitely don't let you recharge but that's the best party about my little ones. They always keep me on my toes. I think it will keep me young, right? I'll tell myself that!
I wore this beautiful Monique Lhuillier dress to the Kate Spade presentation while at NYFW. Let's just say I left the presentation speechless. It was probably one of the most amazing events I've attended. They had their presentation at The Rainbow Room in New York which is a different location than most of the shows and presentations. We loaded in the elevator and they took us to one of the top floors, of course even the elevator was gold and fabulous. As the doors opened we were greeted and pointed to the amazing ballroom. I felt like the minute I stepped in the door my eyes were peeled, not only to the new collection but to the view of NYC and the magnificent chandeliers. The collection was inspired by old New York and I felt like I had stepped back in time and was at a fabulous party! As I circulated the room trying to take as many photos (see below) as possible and snap chatting my experience I was stopped halfway by the voice of a Jazz singer. She had the most beautiful voice and filled the room with energy. The room was full of huge windows with the best views of NYC. I just can't imagine this being any more perfect, can you? I hope I'm describing it the best way possible because that is how amazing it was. Let's talk about the fashion below...

I'm sure you are definitely wondering about the new collection that was presented at the Kate Spade presentation. I'm going to include some photos below that I took while I was there so you can get a look at what is to come in the next few months for fashion. I have to say the fabric and texture from the collection is so amazing and vintage inspired for sure. I said above that the inspiration was Old New York and I'm obsessed with the pieces they produced. The floral is on point along with the bags and shoes. I love when I look at a piece of fashion and it remind me of my Grandmother, that is not a bad thing by the way. That just means I have great memories and I love to have those flood my mind when I look at fashion pieces. It's funny that when I was shopping at my favorite vintage boutique here in Houston she mentioned they sent Kate Spade pieces for inspiration on this collection. I think that is by far the coolest thing ever! I know quite a few designers reach out to vintage boutiques for inspiration on different fabrics and textures. This is shown so well in their new collection. All I can say is I hope I'm invited back next year because this is one for the books.
Have a fab weekend friends! xo!
