Let's just say this is my second time to write this blog post. The joys of blogging! You have to love when your safari shuts down and the blog post isn't saved and almost complete. I'm pretty sure I had some not so nice word come out of my mouth. (whoops!)
I had the pleasure of working with Lerant of Houston for this fun and festive New Year's Eve table setting. I really enjoy browsing around Lerant and working with the sweet ladies there. I could spend hours looking at all the fabulous pieces they offer and dream about pieces I could only hope to own someday. It's a little hidden gem that you need to visit soon. I could walk around for hours and still not see everything. They offer anything from fine china, to gifts, and even the lovely Julie Vos jewelry I'm obsessing over right now. They will drop everything to help you and give you the best customer service. Lerant reminds me of the boutiques from my hometown, always wanting to please and give the best service. I guess this is why I love it so much! They also give me the reins when it comes to a blog post. This is heaven for a blogger! I love coming up with ideas and seeing them to the end. It's always so fun!
When I walked into Lerant my eye quickly spotted these black and white salad plates by Rosanna Soiree Noire. I knew they were going to be the piece I needed to complete this NYE table setting. If you look through my blog I'm sure you will notice black and white is my favorite right now. I'm sure I'm not the only one, black and white is extremely popular right now. It's classic and simple and goes with everything. I can compare table settings to fashion in a sense that you just have to play around with things until you like them. I could move things around on a table for hours until they are perfect, in my eyes at least. I also like the black and white stripes because you can mix them with other pieces of china, just like fashion. Mix it up until it works! Mix patterns! These black and white pieces would be a great addition to your table to ring in the new year or even just to change things up for 2016.
Did you notice to L'Objet black and white swans? They are breathtaking! I thought they were the cutest and very unique. You can put your salt and pepper in them and place them on the table or on a cute tray for serving. The gold detail pulled out some of the gold from the place setting and the champagne flutes. Do you mix silver and gold? I always told myself I wouldn't mix silver and gold but that was years ago. Of course you can mix silver and gold, don't be silly and just do it!

I couldn't resist the RabLabs Kivita coasters in rose quartz. After all it is the color of 2016! These are on my "want" list for sure. They are beautiful and you need to swing by the store to check them out in person. The rose quartz shines as the rim is lined with gold. These are the perfect hostess gift or even house warming! Just fabulous!
I hope this has given you some inspiration for your NYE party planning and it's never too late to swing by Lerant or even pick up the phone and give them a call. They are SO helpful!
** A huge thank you to my neighbor, Julie, and my friend, Jordan, for allowing me to borrow their ghost chairs for this photo shoot ** Also, big thank you to my sister and my niece for allowing me to make a big mess of their house and helping with the clean up. It's all very much appreciated!
