Happy Monday! It's been quite wet around Houston the past day or so and I'm hoping it stops soon. It's hard to run outside when it's pouring down rain. I hate running on a treadmill especially when it's more than 3 miles. Plus rain just makes me tried and worthless which I hate.

I'm a little obsessed with the website Romwe.  I've ordered quite a few things and love every piece I've ordered. I will say it takes a while to get your items.  I wouldn't expect to get them within a week or two because the majority of the time it's more like 3 to 4 weeks. The majority of things are under $50 bucks which makes me even happier. This top makes me happy because it adds a fun touch to any outfit. I can layer it or wear it alone. I can pair it with just about anything dresses, skirts, shorts, leggings and jeans. So many possibilities!

This dress from Anthropologie is a good transitional pieces into Spring.  It's a good heavy fabric and would be great without the button down underneath if it's a littler warmer outside. I also think it could take you through Summer, Fall and Winter. Layer it up!

How to get through a MONDAY!

I figured I would give my advice or lets just say a few ways I get through a MONDAY especially since last night was the Oscars! Did you watch? I loved the entrant JT made and I'm obsessed with that song because my kids have only watched TROLLS a million times.

-Put on a bright color.  It will instantly make you look more awake and feel happier. This pink blazer from Trina Turk is a great example. Go for hot pink or any color that makes you happy!

-COFFEE! I'm sure you knew that one was coming. I always have a little extra coffee on Monday. It usually calls for a Starbucks in the morning followed by a cup after lunch.  When I get home I'll most likely grab a cup of hot tea. Don't forget your water!

-Prep yourself for Mondays. I feel like when I tell myself tomorrow is going to be crazy my mind is prepared and not surprised. It's a little easier to handle the stress when you know it's coming.

-SMILE! Keep a smile on your face whether you want to or not. It will be the first thing people see and if your happy most likely people will be friendly to you! :)

I'm not an expert but these are just a few things I do on Monday so that I don't have the Monday Blues!

I'm going to be honest I didn't love the way the top of this dress fit me but I was obsessed with the bottom I had to make it work. The pleats are perfect! I added this hot pink blazer by Trina Turk and it turned out perfect. I think it looks great buttoned and the collar popped. It gives a good touch. Don't forget to shop this look because the dress and blazer are on super SALE!

The Regent

It's already Wednesday and the week is half-way over. I say it all the time but time is flying! I can't believe we are already approaching Spring Break. Every time I think about giving up on teaching, Spring Break pops into my head. Well, along with Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Summer. It's the best job, besides this blog, of course. What do you have planned for this weekend? I have a few things lined up.  I will be jogging 8 miles with two friends of mine as we train for our half marathon that is coming up VERY soon!

I can't tell you how much I LOVE and OBSESS over this Regent Blazer from J.Crew. I love the fit, I love the colors, I love the material and I love the length. Did I mention I love this blazer? I scored it 40% off during one of the holiday sales. I should have grabbed another color and traded in one of my older blazers.  I think blazers are a "must have" in your closet. If not in red definitely in black or camel. White is great for Summer! I like to pair mine with just about anything. They dress up any outfit for a day or evening look plus you can wear them to work. I always feel like I could rule the world in a great blazer. I mean, totally a joke but maybe I can rule my house?

Monday Blues or NOT?

I'm excited to have the day off today. I'm hoping to squeeze in a little photo session but I'm worried the rain might cause some problems. I always love short weeks but they tend to be hectic which seems crazy. You would think working three days would be a breeze but it never fails that short weeks always cause stress.

I'm excited to talk about a few sales happening today for Presidents Day. I hope you will take advantage and jump on a few pieces for Spring. First, J.Crew will be offering 30% off with code  WEEKEND. I would definitely snag this cardigan before it's sold out. Wear it open or closed and tie the bow or let the ends hang down with the cardigan open. It is perfect for work or a causal down out on the weekend. Wearing sneakers seems to be a little more common for me lately. They are just so comfortable and I like the "sporty" look they give any outfit. These sneakers are great!

The second sale I want to share with you is Ann Taylor who is offering 40% off your entire purchase with code WEEKEND. I've recently made a short list of a few items my closet seems to be missing and white jeans are on the list. I have them but white jeans are easy to destroy especially when you are a teacher. These white jeans look amazing! I also love them in denim.  Also, these bow flats would be perfect for the Spring and would definitely match any outfit.
